After keeping up this blog quite regularly for nearly a year, I have decided to give it a rest. I do so with some regrets, because I quite enjoyed writing it. And while there were never a great deal of comments on the site, I regularly received emails from others with unique perspectives on the things I had written. One regret is that I never put any attention into marketing the blog. I just wrote it and a few people stumbled upon it. I kept thinking that would come later. It didn't.
But At C-Level was always meant to support a business, not BE a business. The Training Mirror product has been taken under the wing of SagePoint. And our business has moved almost exclusively to innovation, so the idea of an all-purpose business or even marketing blog was off-strategy. And honestly, there is so much being written about innovation these days that it would be difficult to break through the clutter. Plus, fortunately, we've been pretty busy lately (knock on wood) and my writing started to feel like an indulgence.
Thank you to those of you who have been following the blog. We actually made the decision a few months ago but I have put off this epitaph because it felt a little like attending a funeral.
Perhaps one day we'll return in a manner that fully supports our business and contributes substantially to the relevant content on the blogosphere. In the meantime--best to you all.
Bill
